bu3sch.de moved to a new server

bu3sch.de moved to a bigger/better/faster server. Most things remain the same for users accessing services on bu3sch.de. With a few exceptions:

  • HTTP-GIT is not supported anymore. Please use the native GIT protocol instead. So GIT URLs have to be converted from http://git.bu3sch.de/git/project.git to git://git.bu3sch.de/project.git. Alternatively you can simply re-clone the trees.
  • HTTPS is supported. Currently with a self-signed snakeoil certificate only, though.

Some time ago I bought a Playstation 3. It is one of the old PS3s with "Other OS" support built-in. The "Other OS" support was one of the main reasons why I bought the device. I also bought it for gaming, though.

So Sony just decided to remove "Other OS" support with latest firmware update. So we are basically stuck with not updating (which means no new games which require the update and no online-gaming) or lose Linux support.

Sony, you know what? Bite My Shiny Metal Ass! This was the very last product I purchased from you. In the past you showed several times that you do not care about your customers at all. So yeah. Try to run your business without your customers then.

And yes, there _is_ a difference between selling a device without Linux support (PS3 slim) and removing Linux support from devices after hundredthousands of people bought it (PS3 classic).
